This front yard was 100% blue grass lawn. A design using some lawn and lots of native plants and color created a low maintenance, low water use yard that is much more interesting.
This buffalo/blue gramma yard needs very little water and is mowed about twice a year if desired to keep it looking neat keep seed heads from over populating.
This Xeriscape design requires very little water or maintenance.
This design uses water harvesting to use all the water from the driveway and surrounding landscape to pool up on the buffalo lawn area. After the first year, no additional water was needed to keep it alive.
